DU LLB Entrance Exam Pattern
Becoming a lawyer is one of the most respectable jobs and careers paths. Other than that a law degree opens up many career opportunities like a legal consultant, liaison officer, etc. However, before you can do all that, you will need a law degree and that too from a good institute.
Appearing and clearing the DU LLB is the first step towards. DU being one of the most sought-after institutes for pursuing a law degree, you will need a 50% score in your 10+2 as well a 50% score in the qualifying DU LLB Entrance Exam.The key to getting their lies in understanding and knowing the DU LLB exam paper pattern.

Going through DU LLB Previous Years Papers will help you to know what the DU LLB exam pattern. The DU LLB exam pattern 2020 is expected to be the same as it has been over the past few years.

The DU LLB exam question pattern includes the following major sections
  •    English Language and Comprehension
  •    Current Affairs
  •    Constitution & GK
  •    Quantitative Aptitude
  •    Analytical and Logical Reasoning
  •    Legal Awareness and Aptitude

The exam will be a pen and paper-based test which means it will be conducted online. All the questions will be of the objective type (MCQ). The total number of questions asked in the paper as per the DU LLB exam pattern and syllabus will be 100, out of which the section of Constitution and Legal Aptitude & Awareness will have the maximum weight age with 45-50 questions. The other sections in the DU LLB exam pattern for LLB will have the following number of questions
  •           English: 12-17 questions
  •           Constitution & GK: 22-25 questions
  •           Current Affairs: 10-12 questions
  •           Quantitative Aptitude: 5-7 questions
  •           Analytical and Logical Reasoning: 12-17 questions
  •           Legal Aptitude & Awareness: 25-30


The duration of the examination will be 2 hours and the maximum marks one can score in the examination will be 400. For each correct answer, the candidate will get 4 marks. Please note that there will be negative marking for wrong answers too.

The sections other than Legal Awareness and Aptitude will be in a separate segregation. An aspirant can choose to attempt any section first or in any order, he wishes to. The answers have to be marked on an OMR sheet. Sectional time limit won’t be an issue as there is nothing like a time restriction on solving a particular time within a stipulated amount of time.
The negative marking applicable to incorrect or inaccurate answers will be 1. So for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted from your total score. Failure in attempting or leaving a question blank will not lead to any negative marking. So in case you are unsure of the answer, it is better to leave those particular questions unattended. Getting a law degree and making a career in law profession is sure an ambition worth pursuing, but the first step would be getting into the course. The DU LLB entrance is just one step ahead towards that ambition so practice and prepares well for it.
