CLAT Exam Pattern 2022

As per the new exam pattern of CLAT 2022, the test will be conducted in
online mode, new test centres will be issued to the candidates. The candidates need to be
aware that for the CLAT exam preparation, they need to have a knowledge of the pattern of
the CLAT entrance exam
It will comprise MCQ’s, from comprehension
based passages. The changes in the pattern of CLAT exam includes deducting the number of
questions to 150 from 200. The questions are going to be asked from Quantitative Techniques,
English, Current Affairs, deduction and Logical Reasoning sections.

Each question carries 1 mark and for every incorrect attempt, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Quantitative Techniques– In this section, the questions will be asked from

10th level including questions from ratios and proportions, basic algebra, mensuration and

General Knowledge & Current Affairs

passage of 450 words each. Here candidates will be asked about the contemporary events of
significance from India as well as from the world, arts and culture, international affairs and
historical events of ongoing significance.

Logical Reasoning– In this section, candidates will be given passages of around
300 words each and each passage will have questions like analyzing patterns of reasoning,
drawing conclusions based on evidence given, identify conflicts and similarities and assess the
value of arguments.

Legal Aptitude– This section will contain the comprehension based questions of
450 words each. The passages will comprise topics from legal matters, public policy questions or
moral philosophical enquiries. The section will contain prepositions and facts based
problems.

English

CLAT 2022 Eligibility Criteria UG Programme

  • There is no age limit for candidates who wish to enroll in the undergraduate programme.
  • The candidate must have secured a minimum percentage mark in the qualifying
    Examination(10+2).

Minimum percentage for different categories is given below:

Candidates appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2021 are

The result of the qualifying
examination is to be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the
candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
In case of equal marks
scored by many candidates, the break of the tie will follow the following
procedure:
Higher marks in the section on legal aptitude in the CLAT 2022

; Higher age; Computerized draw of lots.

CLAT 2022 Application Form

CLAT 2022 application forms were open to being filled by
candidates from the 1st of January 2022. All the candidates who wished to pursue a law
course through the CLAT examination were required to fill the Examination
form by the 31st of March 2022. Before filling out the application form it is better to keep
all your documents ready and in the proper format to avoid any mistakes or any rush while
filling out the application form.

candidate must keep ready before filling out the application form:

  • An official email id- through which all communication will be transferred.
  • Personal mobile number.
  • Residential address.
  • Marksheets of Class 10th and 12th.

  • Scanned passport size photograph (jpeg image; maximum size: 500kb).
  • Scanned signature in the format specified (jpeg image; maximum size: 100kb).
  • Scanned copy of the Caste Certificate in the format specified (for SC/ ST/ SAP
    candidates).
  • Scanned copy of state domicile certificate in the format specified ( maximum size:
    2MB).
  • Candidate’s certificate for its claim as NRI/NRI sponsored candidate.

Steps to Fill CLAT 2022 Application Form

  1. The application form is available only in the online mode, therefore the students have
    to visit the official website and register themselves.
  2. After registering themselves, they are required to fill out the application form
    available on the official website of NLU’s Consortium

  3. It is important to fill all the details correctly in the application form to avoid any
    further consequences. Any incorrect information filled will lead to the cancellation of
    the application form.
  4. After all the details of the application form are filled, the applicants will have to
    upload the documents, signature, and photograph.
  5. It is also advised that after submitting the form the students should download the form
    and take a printout of it for future references.
