These national law schools organize the law entrance exam every year on the rotation basis and this year the CLAT exam will be conducted by NLU Odisha, Cuttack. This article is designed in a way so as to give you detailed information about the CLAT application form 2019 which you need to submit before you can appear for the law entrance exam. It is to be advised that a candidate should check CLAT Exam Eligibility before one starts to fill the CLAT Application Form 2019. Ineligible candidates will have their application forms and candidature for the CLAT exam canceled.

Process to fill CLAT Application Form 

The first step towards filling the CLAT Application form 2019 is making an online account on the official portal. To make this account one will need a valid email ID and phone number only. Secure the login details to your account as you will need to access the account regularly throughout the admission process.

When you are in the process of filling the CLAT application form you will be required to notify your preference of all national law schools which will come handy in the case that you get selected for counseling. Depending upon your rank in the exam you will be assigned a college high or low on the priority list divulged by you.

The other details that need to be furnished in the CLAT application form are

• Personal details – Name, email, phone number and address
• Your educational background- Marks or CGPA obtained in the qualifying grade XII exam
• The course which you are interested in taking up if in case you are selected
• Three test centers in the order of preference

The documents which you must keep ready to access while you fill the application form are

• Your passport or birth certificate
• Mark sheets of the high school
• Mark sheet of the qualifying exam
• The category certificate if applicable
• The disability certificate if applicable
• Special certificate applicable to those who are wards and dependants of freedom fighters of Bihar and Kashmiri migrants
• NRI and NRI sponsored certificate if applicable
• Domicile certificate under state quota.

It is also important that you upload a photograph and signature on the form. Both the photo and signature should be the size 100 kb max and the photo should be 30m*45mm in size. 

Pertinent to note here that SAP certificate should be in .jpg/.jpeg/. PDF format alone and the file size should be not more than 100kb. This certificate would be considered valid by the organizing committee if the applicant has a min. impairment of 40% the whole body.

CLAT Application Form Fee: 

The last step is to pay the CLAT Application Form Fee online. Pay an application fee before the process is completed. This fee can be paid both in an online format for instance by debit or credit card or net banking and also in the offline format. The fee is non-refundable.

• Fee for general category, and OBC, and specially-abled candidates – Rs. 4000
• Fee for the scheduled tribe and scheduled caste candidates- Rs. 3500

Once the fee has been made then there will be an option to either edit or update the information. Check all details and make sure all of it is correct then update the information.
